Well I reinstalled windows, used your link to update the driver beyond what is on the mobo CD and it still crashed with no updates to windows.
In that case, we might be dealing with a deffective port, or deffective graphics controller. I'd recommend contacting the system manufacturer for warranty purposes.
Well, an update. I received a replacement motherboard and it turns out it was defective. 2 hours in and no crash. So relieved.
