What software are you using to read the temperatures? Have you tried a different application?
Please be aware that Intel is no longer manufacturing the Intel(R) Desktop Board DG35EC. Additionally, we no longer provide support for this product. We apologize for the inconvenience.
The bios read outs, the application speedfan read outs, the application Speccy from piriform.
I tried using the recommended intel desktop utilities program but it never shows the main window just the icon in the bar.
All say 121 degrees C however when i take out the chip, its cold, like its barely been used! even putting it in cold as soon as the computer is turned on it reads 121 with no change, no pluys or minus 5 degree change a constant 121!
For that particular issue, my best recommendation would be a BIOS recovery.
You can find instructions here:
It turns out that now, it I restart my computer for any reason it then reads out that the CPU is running really hot like 62 degrees C this is with a core 2 duo processor.
I started out originally with a core 2 duo processor 3.06 GHZ E6600 and it worked perfectly.
Then I got hold of this Q9550S which ran at 121 degrees C and never shifted or anything, fans were always on full blast, the heatsink more than capable of cooling such a verocious CPU
Then I got hold of this better core 2 duo processor 3.16 GHZ E8500 which runs at 62 degrees C, now only when it restarts does it keep the fans on full blast and it reads out this normal 62 degrees C. Seems like the board a) can't read temp values of the CPU very well b) can't conrtol the fans appropriately! The heat is due to me not putting enough thermal paste on (if at all) which i will do 2mz morning . . . but yet very wierd!!
Okay, I put the Q9550S back in, did a full bios recovery. No change!
We apologize for the inconvenience, but Intel is no longer manufacturing this product. Additionally, we no longer provide any live support for it.
