    Setting up Smart Response Techology (SRT)

      Hi Everyone


      This is my first post here!


      I'm trying to set up Intel SRT on my computer. It has a Gigabyte GA-H67N-USB3-B3 H67 motherboard with a Core i5-2500k processor, 1Tb Sata drive and a newly installed Plextor 64GB SSD.


      To install SRT and the SSD, I've edited the registry Local_Machine/System/CurrentControlSet/Service/IastarV and set START to 0.

      Restarted and went into bios and changed from SATA to XHD mode. Restared again and noted that the drives are both recognised as being in RAID.

      Windows 7 x64 boots fine. I installed Intel RST and launched it.


      It sees both disks correctly but there's no ACCELERATE tab. What have I missed please?

          The H67 chipset does not support SRT.  The Z68 chipset does.

          Essentially, if the chipset supports SRT, you don't need to hack anything in the Registry.  You just enter the BIOS on the first boot, set the Chipset mode to RAID, and install the OS on the hard drive.  Then install the Intel RST driver (I believe you need at least version 10.5), and enable SRT to use your SSD by running the RST application.

            Thanks Bill.

             

            I was under the impression that all mobos that support the 1155 processor supported SRT, which explains my problem with the wrong chipset!

              I have exact same problem, I am using Z77 chipset that supports Intel SRT. Asus P8Z77-V LE PLUS MB. This problem appears unsolvable.

                  Hi Diego_Intel,

                  I've seen the guide already, my system meets the 7 requirements. Asus MB is a Z77 (7 series).
