Server 2003 hangs on boot with Martrix RAID

I have a Windows 2003 server running on an Intel S3210SH board and running in a RAID configuration.  The server will boot with RAID drivers installed and Matrix Console sees all the drives.  I can then create a RAID 1 and all goes well and the mirror completes the re-sync and server runs great.  But once the system is rebooted it goes to the Server 2003 screen during boot and then screen goes black and will not complete the boot.  I can get into Safe mode with no problem.  If I hit CTRL+I at boot and delete the RAID volume the server will boot and I can re-create the RAID within the console but the same issue will re-occur every time the system boots.  Any ideas?
