WinPe is not a supported operating system for the latest chipset driver. See below for supported operating system, check if your computer manufacturer provides chipset drivers for WinPe.
You mean to say that your current chipset does not support a widely used method for mass deployment? And that it's up to the manufacturer of the laptop/computer to write a compatible driver for your product? Funny thing is I can manually load your driver in WinPE. Unfortunately it will not auto load which is what I need to have happen? There are a bunch of people out there having this issue and I find the lack of support for a widely used deployment method very discouraging. I will have to consider using a NIC manufacturer who supports WinPE with their drivers. Will there be a driver created in the future that will suppord WinPE3.0?
I got it to work with my WinPE litetouch x64 wim file. What I did was download the WinPE driver pack from Dells Website.
I injected these drivers into the Out of box section in MDT. Then updated the deployment share. I actually complelely regenerated the boot images. After that I copied the litetouchPE_x64.wim file from c:\deploymentshare\boot to c:\RemoteInstall\boot\x64\images. I then PXE booted and chose my WinPE x64 and the NIC driver loaded successfully.
I also tried the above steps using the driver from intel's site. It worked as well.
Hope this helps.
By the way Intel. Your driver is compatible with WinPE 3.0. Just thought you should know that before you go around spreading misinformation.
