I installed Windows XP (with service pack 2) on my new Hannspree netbook Running Linux into a Virtuall Host. The Netbook has a Intel CPU U4100 @1.30hgz.
Under device manage the - base system device - has a yellow question mark - and under that the video controller (vga compatiable) also has a yellow question mark - How do I rid of those yellow qestion marks and get the correct video driver installed. I downloaded drivers from intel but it says cannot install because does not meet minimun requirements, even if I allow more than 1 gig of memory.
Any help will be appreciated - thanks

Hello,
In order to rid of those yellow marks, please try to install the latest Intel graphics driver manually.
Here you will the steps for this installation:
http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-022355.htm?wapkw=%28022355%29 http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-022355.htm?wapkw=%28022355%29
According the specifications I found on the Internet of your Netbook, this is the graphics driver you should use:
http://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?lang=eng&ProductFamily=Graphics&ProductLine=Intel%C2%AE+Embedded+Graphics+Drivers&ProductProduct=Intel%C2%AE+Embedded+Graphics+Drivers&ProdId=2159&LineId=2159&FamilyId=39 http://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?lang=eng&ProductFamily=Graphics&ProductLine=Intel%C2%AE+Embedded+Graphics+Drivers&ProductProduct=Intel%C2%AE+Embedded+Graphics+Drivers&ProdId=2159&LineId=2159&FamilyId=39
There you will find different driver versions.
If they do not work then I recommend you using the graphics drivers released by the Notebook manufacturer.
Thanks,
Dago.
