I have a sony vaio with intel extreme graphics 2 mobile fully updated.. i have an adapter hooked to my VGA out with RCA hookups to my TV which is why I assume its not working but is there any way to make this work? Possibly a program to make it recognize the adapter? i noticed something about scheme options having an application to run at start is it possible to have it preset to output without recognizing the tv so the RCAs will just pick it up? Or any other possibilities? all I have is a VGA out and a crappy tv with RCA and an VGA adapter with svideo out and yellow white red RCA out (only using the RCA). any suggestions?

Hello,

Please bear in mind that an RCA-to-VGA cable is not supported by the graphics video controller, since that may prevent the EDID (extended display identification data) of the display from being read.

In that case you should use a display with the same type of port that your computer has and prevent the usage of any type of adapters or converters.

More information on TV out troubleshooting is available here:

I suggest you to review the information that is on this site if testing a direct connections still fails.
