contact lenovo for the compatible driver and to check if the wifi card inside is working or not.
That sounds like the Intel(R) Proset software is not detecting the hardware correctly. A complete reinstall of Intel Proset and the drivers might fix this behavior.
We higly recommend using the set of drivers provided by the computer manufacturer for such cases.
- Do you even see it listed on device manager?
- Can you actually see any networks (Under Intel Proset software) if you press the "Scan for networks" option?
You may want to talk to Lenovo* for a warranty replacement if none of that works.
