E5405 is VT (Virtualization Technology) enabled but you are getting this error because you might not have enabled VT support on the microprocessor in the BIOS. You need to ensure the following options are enabled in BIOS. Here's what you have to do:
Press F2 to access BIOS as your computer is powered on.
Choose the second tab ADVANCED
Select PROCESSOR CONFIGURATION
Drill down and select INTEL (R) VIRTUALIZATION TECHNOLOGY and then set the option to ENABLE.

thanks for your response, I managed to solve my problem and would have done it sooner if I had opened my eyes whilst on the Intel site.
I needed to download and install the firmware update package for DOS which updated the bios to ver 91.6 & bmc to ver 64.
