It came with BIOS 1900, but I upgraded to BIOS 1979 when I got it back from RMA.
I also tried another monitor and three different cable (Display Port, HDMI, and VGA)
Not sure what else to try. Maybe I'll try the 2600K again and see if it works.
Oh yeah, I onlyget two beeps during post. But it hangs on error 5A while the two beeps happen two times in a row before continuing to boot nomally. I can see the system from my other computer through Networks. Just no video at all.
Thanks for the reply
could the CPU get hung on using integrated video somehow? although the cmos clear should have fixed that.
OK, I just found an old PCI video card)Rage 128) I used to use for a second monitor, and Violla! Everything works fine.
I put my 5450 back in and get error 5A and the two beeps. I then try the card in the second PCIe x16 slot and get the error 5a and two beeps as well.
Is this a northbridge on the cpu issue(PCIe lanesnot working)? Or maybe the motherboard has a bad PCIe lanes?
both issues are very rare and not sure how they died. Unless it's something else I missed.
Thanks for listening
After thorough testing it turns out it is the PCIe lanes. After motherboard RMA it's working just fine once again. No CPU issues at all.
