I have what I suspect is a failing GA-P35-DS4 board. I use RAID 5 for the drives connected to that chipset and was wondering what my options were for motherboard replacement while preserving all the data I have on that RAID array. Currently the array state is in "verify" if that makes a difference. Do I need the exact same model motherboard or does the motherboard just have to be ICH9R? Could it be a newer chipset and backwards compatable? I am trying to determine my replacement options.
As long the new board supports RAID 5, even though new board comes with different chipset model, there should not be any inconvenience.
