I jsut suggested a mini PCIe SSD over in this thread: http://communities.intel.com/message/143517#143517
It is the only one I could find that was true PCIe instead of mSATA. It's been months since I looked, so there may be other options now.
Old thread, but I'm posting more info to save others time:
I was able to find specific information on the Intel site, but it sure wasn't easy (frustrating).
Only specific motherboards have native support for mSATA on the PCIe x1 Minicard slot
Solid-state drive (SSD) compatibility
Fortunately, there are plenty of adapters, search: msata to sata adapter
Has anyone found a way of getting an SSD in the Mini PCIe slot working? Preferably as a boot drive but not essential.
I have also just tried to install the mini PCIe SATA x2 card from StarTech.com MPEXSATA221 without success but have come across a scary soldering modification to get it working.
I want to use this board as a mini server with 4 drives or more!
