Hi,

When doing silent installs (inf based) I'm seeing around 60% of machines failing for.....

Exactly the same hardware on all the machines, and they don't neccesarily fail everytime, but if I set them up cycling they'll normally fail and either lock up at shutdown (C:\Windows\System32\shutdown.exe -r) or come up with the error message on the next boot. Drivers are bundled into one folder for chipset/amt/heci/sol etc etc, but have also tried a seperate silent install using the setup.exe.

Boards are the OEMBLK DQ67OW (Crowpoint) with bios 0050. Drivers are the latest versions from downloadcenter / platformsw.

Any ideas as this doesn't happen on Win7/Vista installs, only XP Pro 32/64 SP2 or SP3. Some machines will cycle quite happily 15-20 times installing the OS then randomly fall over with this problem. I'm at a loss. MEI hasn't been provisioned. Bios is in its default state.

Does your MEI driver major number match that of your ME FW? BIOS 0050 has ME FW 7.1.10.1065, so your MEI/SOL driver should also be 7.1.x.x. Latest from Download Center is v7.1.13.1088. Should try to keep MEI drivers as close as possible to the ME FW in your BIOS.
