1000 pro GT problems

Hey Guys

Im having a problem with my wired 1000 gt , i have it plugged in the driver was all ready to go and my windows 7 computer just wont get on the internet i try to trouble shoot it and all the troubleshooter says is that the intel adapter does not have a valid IP address. all the setting are in place for it to work tho... i have tried reseating it ... i have an older NIC right above it that i am using right now and it is working.. but when i connect to the intel 1000 nothing. any ideas???

have you tried connecting the cable used in the older NIC to the 1000 pro GT just to isolate the problem? have you tried setting static IP on the pro 1000 GT?
