I have a question:
I have bought a P6X58D-E board and also bought memory from the compatible memory list that the board's manufacturer provided: OCZ3G1600LV6GK (1,65 Volt).
Though there seems to be a warning that according intel specs memory with a voltage below 1,65 Volts is recommended. That warning is also on the motherboard.
But then again, the list says the memory's compatible...
I confirm even though the board may support memory voltages of up to 1.65V, the CPU itself is not tolerant to higher than 1.5v. "Intel recommends using memory that adheres to the Jedec memory specification for DDR3 memory which is 1.5 volts, plus or minus 5%. Anything over this voltage can either damage the processor or significantly reduce the processor life span." (qtd. here). Hence, please, use 1.5v. memory.
