By core registers we didn'tmean the Pentium ALU registers like eax. We meant the core configuration registers as defined in the EAS.

So I take it that there's no way to read or write the core registers from outside?
When we said core configuration registers we meant the registers as described in Table 220.127.116.11 in the EAS.
EAX belongs to the set of Pentium registers. You can access them by running a program on the core itself. Are you wanting to access these registers from the MCPC? That's not directly possible. I suppose you could arrange for an MCPC program to communicate with a core program, however.
