JBOD option with RAID controller on S5000VSA?

I have a RAID1 setup as my Server2008 OS drive. I would like to add a single JBOD 1TB SATA disk as a backup destination to the existing server. With the disk installed the RAID software reports the disk as Ready (in green), but I see no option to add this disk by itself.

1) Is what I'm wanting to do possible at all?

2) Is it possible to do in the windows environment (because this machine is an hour's travel time away)?

Thanks,

Paul

It's kind of a workaround, but you can set up a one-drive RAID 0. That will make it just a basic disk, for most purposes.
