Intel HD Driver System Freeze/Crash

Hi,

I find using the Intel HD Graphics Driver (Windows 7 64-bit) is causing the system to freeze and become unresponsive. If I uninstall the HD graphics driver the system runs fine with the default VGA drivers. I have tried both the versions 15.21.12.2321 and 8.15.10.2291 and both are causing a system freeze.

System specs -

Processor - i7 2600K

MB - DH67BL

RAM - 8 GB.

I have read through other threads like this one http://communities.intel.com/thread/20439?start=0&tstart=0 http://communities.intel.com/thread/20439?start=0&tstart=0 and there are a new set of drivers at http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=19679 http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=19679 mentioned in the thread.

Planning to try them out in the hope it will fix the situation.

Not sure what else to try and would appreciate any input.

Thanks!

Hello moserw,

I see that you are experiencing random Blue Screen Of Death during normal operation of your computer and that you have tried all the latest drivers form the Intel(R) web site.

Regarding the problem that you are experiencing, I see 2 possible scenarios.

The first one is that you are using the Intel(R) generic drivers and your system does not fully support them as you require system specific drivers. These system specific drivers should be provided by your system manufacturer.

The second scenario is that your BIOS is causing conflicts with the latest drivers, for this I recommend you to make sure that you are using the latest BIOS provided by your system manufacturer for your computer.

Regards.
