sccKit 1.4.0 is now available. This new release provides many new features and improves performance. Key new features are a global timestamp counter, a global interrupt controller, atomic increment counters and the eMAC interface. The new eMAC interface fixes the “Heavy I/O bug” as described in http://marcbug.scc-dc.com/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=86.
For details about the new features, refer to the file What's new in sccKit 1.4.0. If your MCPC/SCC system is part of the SCC Data Center, upgrades are in progress. Because an upgrade may affect your research, it won’’t happen without your permission. We'll send out some email and suggest a time for the upgrade that you can change. It takes a couple of hours to updgrade an exisiting system.
If you have your own MCPC/SCC system, refer to the file How to Install sccKit 1.4.0 in the subcommunity Your MCPC.
