I have an Intel Core i5 Processor. I have confirmed this with the Intel Processor Indentification Utility.
In spite of this, Turbo Boost is not active on my computer. So, I downloaded the Intel Turbo Boost Technology Monitor and I received the following error message:
---------------------------
Intel(R) Turbo Boost Technology Monitor 2.0 - InstallShield Wizard
---------------------------
Installation cannot continue because this computer does not have a processor with Intel® Turbo Boost Technology capability.
This application requires an Intel® Core(TM) i7 processor, Intel Core i7 processor Extreme Edition, or Intel Core i5 processor with Intel Turbo Boost Technology. For more information, see http://www.intel.com/technology/turboboost http://www.intel.com/technology/turboboost.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------
Why am I receiving this error? What can I do to resolve it?

Which I5 processor do you have?
Does you BIOS have an option to enable \ disable turpo boost \ speed step?
Does you BIOS have an option to enable C-states?

Core i5-750
I don't see any options in the bios that have to do with turbo boost, speed step or c-states

Not s good sign.
Most board bios contains option to enable / disable one or all ot the power options.
Turbo boost uses the C states to function.
Speed step is a seperate feature, though somewhat related.
Any BIOS updates on your mother board's support site?

No BIOS updates for my model.
I've noticed this board is rather lacking in features.
