PC shut down / crashed during bios upgrade

I have an older Intel  D975XBX2 Extreme Series board.    A few weeks ago I started having a few issues with the sound drivers,   re-installation of the drivers from the original instalation disks did not fix the problem so I upgraded the bios.

Duing the process the system shut down on itself -  and now it will not come back up.  I have tried everything from clearing the bios,   removing the cmos battery,    hanging the board out the window and standing on one leg.

I have several of these boards and hate to loose anohter one because tjhese are hard to find and I use all 3 of the PCIe  slots.

Is there anything I can to do at this point to repair or replace the bios and get it back up and running?
