Server 2008 R2 is not supported....I don't know if you could get it to work by either editing in regedit to say “Server 2008 R2” is “Server 2008” or right click properties on the .exe > compatibility tab and run it for “Server 2008” mode.
I wonder if Intel has any intentions in supporting R2?
In todays money crunch we need all the help we can get.
I've got exactly the same problem you described.
IntelRapidManager crashs on Win2008R2....
Dit you finde any Solution or inofrmation
about that ?
Here's the funny bit... I figured out what I did different - the 3 machines it's RUNNING on (2008R2) were converted to RAID after OS install.
The one I can not run the utility on was installed with RAID in place (I botched the convert to RAID procedure and had to start again).
So it will work on 2008R2 - I used the same DVD for all of them.
But adding the driver, the raid and then the ui AFTER the os is loaded seems to have made the difference...
this also seems related:
Fixed it! I did this before and forgot so I had to learn it all over again...
You need the .net 3.51 FEATURE - even though it will INSTALL with .net 4 (which is supposed to be backwards compatible right?) it apparently won't RUN with only v 4.
Install the feature - no need to even reboot - boom it works.
Now I am a happy camper...thanks Man
I have Server 2008 R2, .net 3.51 feature enabled, .net 4 installed, IIS role not enabled (prefer so for security reasons) but i cannot install RST, the RST service does not install nor exist after installation. I´m running RAID1 and Matrix 8.9 gives false HD error twice a day! This is painfull, what should i do to fix this?
