Hello,

I am at my wits end with this having tried everything I can think of. I am using a Gateway LT20 Netbook with the following hardware configuration:

Gateway / ACER LT20 Netbook Mobile Intel 945 Express ChipsetDual Intel Atom CPU N270 @1.60GHzWindows XP Pro SP3 Currently in Windows XP Professional I can only use IDE mode for my Seagate SATA hard drive (model ST9160314AS 160 GB)If I go into the BIOS and select AHCI it causes an instant blue screen when I try to load windows. I have isolated the problem tothe Intel 82801G (ICH7Family) Ultra ATA Storage controller - 27DF but here is the rub. If I use the Windows Standard Dual Channel PCI IDE Controller v51.2600.5512 for this device all is fine, I just get a blue screen when trying to use AHCI mode in the bios. But if use the either of the following driverssupplied by INTEL (see below) I get a blue screen of death in Windows no matter *what* mode I use (AHCI or IDE).Intel 82801G (ICH7 Family) Ultra Storage Controllers - 27DF v7.0.0.1020Intel 82801G (ICH7 Family) Ultra Storage Controllers - 27DF v8.2.0.1011 The disk is *dog* slow and takes forever to boot up using only the crippled old Windows Standard Dual Channel IDE driver and every other part of the Intel Chipset has been updated save for this one driver which causes the major show stopping BSOD. Here is what we have under Devices in Windows: ACPI Multiprocessor PC Microsoft ACPI-Compliant System PCI bus Intel 82801G (ICH7Family) Ultra ATA Storage controller - 27DF - Primary IDE Channel - ST9160314AS (seagate 160 GB SATA drive) Here are the list of drivers I have (copied from your site and Gateways) Intel 82801G (ICH7 Family) Ultra Storage Controllers - 27DF 7.0.0.1020Intel 82801G (ICH7 Family) Ultra Storage Controllers - 27DF 8.2.0.1011Standard Dual Channel PCI IDE Controller 51.2600.5512

ONLY the last one works and as stated cripples the system with the IDE bottleneck. Question: do you have a driver that works for XP in this? This is your Intel chipset product and the driver you are shipping causes XP to Blue screen and be unusable. Do you have a driver for this that works???
