The only thing I saw that really jumped out is that GBF has Video down and one more PCI slot
Thanks for the quick response. I had already looked at the product guides for both boards and, like you, could find no substantial difference other than the additional pci slot on the GBF as you pointed out. I just figured there must some difference in performance between the two chipsets since the PERL came to market a while after the GBF.
I'm guessing here, but whatever difference if any would most likely be slightly noticeable or not at all in everyday use, (I'm not a gamer). Also, I don't know what you mean by "Video down" on the GBF.
Video Down = The GBF has a built in video controller so does not require a video card. Ideal for people who are not gamers. Most gamers want beter video than the older on board video can supply
