You need to set your SATA controller from AHCI to RAID, then you can get the BIOS screen for RAID up at bootup.
intel tech support finally solved the problem. the solution as you said is only the first step which i had tried a couple of times but couldn't set up.
here is the complete solution.
1. Set SATA controller to RAID.
2. Crucial: Increase Hard Disk Pre-Delay. Set it to at least 3-4 seconds so that you can see the RAID configuration options. Otherwise if raid is not set up and has been just enabled from BIOS the option will be not come up.

If still no RAID configuration options screen - try ctrl+i
ctrl+i works. Hard Disc Pre-delay doesn't help.
