I’m trying to download and install the latest driver updates for our Intel Pro/1000 MT Dual Port Server Adapter.  When I look at the driver details for that adapter using Device Manager\Network adapters\Intel® Pro/1000 MT Dual Port Server Adapter right clik and select properties, click the Driver tab, it shows:

      Driver Provider:          Intel
      Driver Date:                8/20/2008
      Driver Version:            8.10.3.0
Digital Signer:              Microsoft Windows Hardware Compatibility Publisher

Many diagnostics that we run on our server indicate that we should update the driver for this adapter to the latest version.

I have attempted to download and install the PROWin32.exe file numerous times in different ways without success.  I got the file from here: http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=18719&ProdId=880&lang=eng#help

After the many times of trying to update the driver, I go back to look at the driver details in Device Manager and it still shows the older version and date even after rebooting the server.

One install and update created a c:\Install.log.  The end of that log file indicates the driver was updated successfully.

Does anybody know how we can get the driver to update?

Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

      Thanks,
      Tony
