Sony may be using there own VEN_ID\DEV_ID which would cause an Intel driver to fail, but if that were the case, i would expect the 32 bit version to have issue also.
Are you running in AHCI mode or legacy SATA mode in your BIOS set-up (AHCI is usually recommended, but different drivers than legacy mode)
Thanks you for you quick reply, Doc_SilverCreek !
There no problem with the windows 7 32bit because the setup can auto-detected my SATA Hard Disk, no necessary to give driver sata.
Well, I take my Recorvery DVDs in order to find which one Sony used. It's Intel(R) 82801 HEM/HBM SATA AHCI Controller [iaAHCI.inf], driver for 32 & 64 bit !
You talked about "Sony may be using there own VEN_ID\DEV_ID which would cause an Intel driver to fail, but if that were the case, i would expect the 32 bit version to have issue also."
I have done some research to verify the VEN_ID\DEV, mine is :
- PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_2829&SUBSYS_9005104D&REV_03 ;
- PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_2829&CC_010601 ;
- PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_2829&CC_0106 (this one is used to check my device in INF file);
In Intel, it's : Intel(R) ICH8M-E/M SATA AHCI Controller [iaahci.inf].
In both Sony & Intel INF files, mine VEN_ID\DEV_ID is referenced !
There is no long, I have done some modifications to a INF files int order to install my driver nvidia, because Sony had modify the VEN_ID\DEV_ID from my GeForce 8400M GT, and the setup wasn't able to find my hardware ! (Windows 7 32bit)
If you have another way ???
Best regards, Doc_SilverCreek !

SorryDoc_SilverCreek for the long time !
One of my friend give me his Windows 7 64 bit version to test it, on my laptop.
Well,after having put this DVD into my laptop, the problem don't show again.
I don't know why, but it works !
So, there is nothing to give for installation (pre-installation driver).
Thank you, for the time that you give me.
I had the same problem when I tried to install windows seven from a usb stick, the solution is to install from a dvd
