I guess most socket 478 based motherboards are NOT tested with Windows 7, because when Windows 7 launches most (if not all) socket 478 based boards are EOL'd already. However, chances are pretty good that most device drivers are already embedded in Windows 7. I myself have been running Windows 7 on an Intel D865PERL board without any issues.
I went ahead with a D865GLC, no negative issues. Thanks!
