    DH67BL + Linux == Don't do it !!

    aweaver614

      For a really long time every Desktop Board that Intel releases hasn't had official support for Linux but it worked great (even better than a lot of boards that do have official support for Linux).

      I assumed that this time would be no different and picked up a DH67BL + a 2600.

      It installs and runs OK, but there is a huge problem.

      If you disconnect the monitor cable from the DVI port the machine does some kind of sleep mode that kills the network port and the USB ports.. (What in the ???)

      There must be some kind of funky port status detection going on that you can't disable because I have been able to reproduce this on several Linux distributions.

      I have several machines in my home and I don't have monitors hooked up to hardly any of them, so this is a disaster for me.

      I've tried several different Linux distributions including CentOS 5.5, Redhat 6, Debian 5.

      They all have this problem.

      Please intel allow us to disable the funky video port detection.

      thanks,
