DX58SO and NEC USB 3.0 Host Controller

    q8fever

      Hello,

I have EVGA's PCI-E USB 3.0 Host Card (NEC Electronics USB 3.0 Host Controller) which only works on bios version 5456 and below. When I use upgrade to bios version 5506 or 5529 (which is the latest). I get "This device cannot start. (Code 10)".

      My system:

      Windows 7 64bit

      DX58SO

NEC Electronics USB 3.0 Host Controller info:

      Driver Version : 1.0.19.0

      Firmware Version: 3016

Finally after months of googling I came across your posting!

And you are the only one that solved this problem so many people on the net experienced but could not solve unless they read you posting!

Even R&D Daniel Huang 黃沛峰 of SUNIX Co., Ltd. 三泰科技股份有限公司 Mobile: +886-928-893958 .......I'm Here (Taiwan) (wanted me to phone him?)

nor Barend Nel, Intel Techie of Pinnacle here in Cape Town

could not come up with an answer!

I loaded the older BIOS and Hey, IT WORKS !!

I then loaded the latest Bios 5561 and Hey it still works!

You are my hero!!! (for the moment anyway!

Bad news is that the latest Image does not work!

So I am back on the old one - it works!

Wonder if Intel will do something about it?  / How do you get Intel to do something about it?
