Why doesn't i7-2600k support DirectX 11?  Is this a software or hardware issue?

I don't have the I7-2600K processor but I know that it is a hardware. DirectX 11 is software. It could be a software issue. Just wait for a while for a patch/upgrade for DirectX to include the i7-2600K processor support.

Seriously? No the onboard video for the i7 2600k does not support direct x 11. It does support 10.1 though as listed under the specs.

Either way, why would you not buy a video card seeing as most games using direct x 11 are going to require a good stand alone video card.
Basically , dont worry about whether it supports direct x 11 or not and just buy a video card that does. It's not saying that if you buy a video card that does your cpu wont let you, it's just saying ur cpu isnt capable on its own.
