i´m sure that you have a multicard reader atached to the main board, unplug it and try now. ;-D
May you think use another mark. (Coolbox, Antec)
that's it! You were right. Never thought that the card-reader could be the problem. Can you recommend a card reader that works perfectly with the DH55HC?
Thank you very much!
See you: Holger
OK, Holger, this begs the question...what brand and model card reader caused the problem? I see 2 answers on 2 different threads (same repsonder?? need to look) that say they are sure the OP has one installed and to take it out. Other thread did not report if it worked or not.
Anyone know of an add on card reader that will work? I don't have this MB yet, but it is on my list to get, as long as I can get answers to a thread about memory compatibility I have going here. Thanks! Jim.
it was the card reader, definetily, no doubt. After unplugging the USB Connector from the board, the board runs perfectly.
The card reader was a "no-name" product. You can still buy this reader at reichelt in Germany:
The reader worked properly my Gigabyte-board with G33-chipset.
The last BIOS-Update for the DH55HC couldn't solve the problem.
Thanks for the information! Jim.
i think Intel have difficult with card reader...
Have htis probleme on some motherborad since 2 years
on DH55 you must use usb port 2 for connect card reader (that on the sticker)
Have this probleme with usb card reader SONY with REALTEK chipset
This bug is present on DH57TM with other bug (power on after power off not work if ime not configured)
We had this on the DH67GD and DP67BG boards too with Corsair and OCZ SSD's.
If the IDE mode was set to AHCI it would boot in about 45 seconds, if you set it to IDE - it's fine.
