    USB Not Working

    tigerhop

My USB port just stopped working.  It does not recognize anything that I use (mounse, USB drive, etc.)  THese things used to work.

I have a Toshiba Satellite C655, Intel Celeron, Intel Portable PC Base Board version.,  BIOS Vendor INSYDE version INSYDE 1.20.

      How do I fix this?

USB ports are limited to 500mA output. If your running all that off one board, you likly exceed the output power.

Intel designs monitor the power draw and will shut off the port until you unplug and reconnet the device. Toshiba may be simular?

The Intel design also includes a fail safe fuse (which I have never seen blow on an Intel board) but if it blows it would be a hardware failure on the mother board.
