3 beeps is diffently mem . check what volts your RAM is set to , make sure it matches the RAM .
Its 1.66 "1.65" which the ram requires.
Im using the Manufacture setting for the Ram, so all timings and voltage should be fine.
Ive also lowered the volts to no avail though too.
Just checking , cause I used intel's XMP settings on some 1600Mhz Ram and it set it at 1.9 volts insteed of the 1.5 volts the RAM needed .
Yea I hear you. Right now im testing each stick individually and hour in between each check...
If that doesnt work should I check the slots themselves?
Is there any way its the board itself?
Yes I would check all slots sometimes the connectors can be bad , I had a DP45SG , that drove me crazy till I found one of the 4 slots was bad RMAd the board work fine ever since . When you are doing this if you have some rubbing alchol and a clean rag try wiping the ram connections , Dirt can be your worst enemy.
Are you certain that the RAM modules are functional? The actual modules could be the problem, perhaps not the dust. Try to test the RAM sockets as well, as they could be defective.
I thank you guys so much for your help.
Every other computer forum that a frequently visited have been useless for me, not even replying to posts.
I really appreciate it.
Do you have a can of compressed Air you could blow out the ram slots with ??
I use a vacuum and its exhaust to blow out dust in my computer Ill try that.
I only built the computer like 2 months ago so I really dont think it could be dust but yah never know. If I these sticks test out fine ill do that before testing the slots themselves.
Last stick now.. If this doesnt fail then ill start checking the slots.
Say 4 hours from now.. Every stick booted up fine...every slot booted fine..
All stick tested...No error
All slots tested...No error
Anybody have any idea what could be going on here.
Ive run prime for hours and its stable, i keep the computer on and off in sleep for weeks..no problem.
But I turn on the computer from a shut down a an hour or so after I did so and it errors....
