When i try to setup new drivers ver. 10 manually (Windows hardware manager — SATA AHCI Controller — Update driver — Intel RSTv10 F6 method files), system accepted and updated it without problems. Reboot... Windows logo and "dead" system.
Ok set your SATA mode to RAID this does not mean you have to do RAID as you can run single drives in RAID mode so try that.
Also in RAID mode you get AHCI.
When RAID mode is enable, system infinite reboot.
FixIt helps. Now i can switch AHCI/RAID mode.
Ok, RAID mode enabled.
For RAID controller Windows found standart drivers. I installed IRSTv10. System reboot. But same error: Windows logo permanently on screen too!
Update your BIOS.
My BIOS version is last.
Have you tried both iata_enu.exe & iata_cd.exe installs of this RST?
I solved the problem!
My DVD-drive Pioneer DVR-215D (Serial ATA Rev. 2.5) don't work with IRSTv10, after disconnecting it from SATA port Windows load without problem.
Well thats hardly solved your problem when you can't use your DVD.
Firmware update for that DVD drive?
Try changing what port its on.
If you say it worked fine before with RST 9.6 you might like to report it so its fix in the next release.
Line: Chipset Software
Product: Intel ® Rapid Storage Technology
I use the DVD drive is not often.
Firmware is last version too.
DVD drive work correctly in IRST 9.064, bug report will send.
I've got the exact same problem. To solve mine I put my Pioneer drive to a different controller.
I've tested this with both 10.1 and 9.6 drivers (both after clean installation from USB) and confirm this is caused by the 10.1 driver.
Changed SATA cables and SATA ports to confirm this problem.
Also submitted this to bug reports.
None of the Intel RST 10 series (release or beta) drivers work with the Pioneer DVR-216D either. It's taken me ages to work out why I can't use irst 10. I unfortunately don't have a non-intel port so I'm stuck on 9.6
Ok i am having the same problem. Is there any solution??? I don't have other than intel sata. do i have to use 9.6 ??
