    SETA0 Failure?

I recently built a linux server for my home using the D410PT Board. The system was running fine for many months but then mysteriously hung. The system would no longer boot so I used a bootable USB linux installer to try to debug the issue. I received error messages that would have suggested that the hard drive had failed. After replacing the drive I continued to received the same errors. I then moved the drive, using the same cord, from SETA0 to SETA1 and now the system appears to be running fine. My suspicion is that the controller for SETA0 one has failed and I am now dealing with a issue with the motherboard. Has anyone else experienced similar problems? Does this assertion make sense?

Thanks to anyone who has helpful information in this regard.
