    High System Load

      Hello all,

       

      We have just recently recieved our SCC system, and we have noticed some severe performance issues using it. We were wondering if anyone else has encounted the same problems, or if there were any solutions.

       

      The main issue is a high system load (1.0) with a 0% CPU usage, and low memory usage on boot.

      Here is top on boot:

      Commands in terminal are unresponsive. When running sccGui and have the performance meter open (this I expect may just be normal) we achieve 100% CPU load on the crbifd module.

      We are using the reccomended parts for the build, though I can post them later if people find them relevant.

       

      Any thoughts on what could be causing this, or is this normal behaviour?

          The sccKit interface dedicates a core to a polling demon in order to have the lowest latency, highest throughput interaction with the SCC core traffic.

          I believe you are describing that behavior.   It will be problematic if you have a single core system, but should work fine on a quad core system.

          Whe one does top on the scc console, you should see crbifd running at 100%.
