    Bootup problem

I am having problems booting my system which is based on a Intel D975XBX motherboard.

On poerup I get three lon beeps and the system hangs. I assume this is a memory problem.

Replacing the memory failed to help. I have also noticed that by cycling the power up a few times, by turning on and off the system when it fails to boot eventually results in a succesful bootup.

This seems to imply some sort of  motherborad problem, or is it memory timing perhaps.

I am curious if anyone else has come across such a behaviour and perhaps a sutable solution?
