    Environmental variables for SCC

    xl10

      How can I set environmental variables on the back end of SCC? It seems that using pssh to export an environmental variable does not work. Are there any suggestons? Thanks.

          This is a basic Unix 'problem', not a specific SCC issue. If you use PSSH to set an environment variable, it is set only for the live time of the SSH session. The usual solution is to run a shell script via PSSH, which both sets the environment variables and calls the application:

          #!/bin/sh

          export MYVAR=foo

          /shared/bin/myexecutable
