Same problem with Raid Web Console 2 9.00.0000 on Windows Server 2008 R2 (x64). Console and RAID drivers from Intel Download Center, latest versions. I have tryed to install Java x64/x32 before Console install - negative result. javaw.exe 32 bit process using 20-25% CPU on 2xIntel Xeon E5205@1,86GHz (summary 4 Cores), RAM 16GB. If i kill javaw.exe process, Console not discovered RAID on localhost (even if i started again javaw.exe, java.exe, popup.exe). Controller Intel RAID SRCSATAWB with LSI SAS1078 RAID on chip, Server Board INTEL S5000VSASATAR, all Microsoft updates are installed.
I have exactly the same problem with RWC2 v9.00-00 and Windows Server 2008 R2 64bit.
javaw.exe fully uses one logical processor at 100%.
I had same results with previous versions of RWC2 on Server 2008 R2 64bit.
Examining javaw.exe with task manager also shows horrible amount of Page Faults - 2.2 billion (accumulated during uptime of one week) and about is 30 000 added every second so the counter probably overflows every 2 days at 4.3B and starts again from 0.
I have RWC2 v9.00-00 installed on another server with Windows Server 2003 R2 32bit.
There are no excessive page faults nor CPU usage.
Seems that the problem is specific to Windows Server 2008 R2 (64bit?) and Windows 7.
I'm sorry for that my english is not good.
I have same problem.
OS : windows 2008 Server Standard x86 SP2
RAM : 4GB
Intel RAID Web Console 2 version : 6.90.0400(4 Machiens), 6.71.0100(8 Machines)
There are 12 intel server machines..
8 macines using 6.71.0100 version do not have any problem.
2 machines using 6.90.0400 version has a problem.
But, other 2 machines using 6.90.0400 version do not have any problem.
I do not know why only two machines have problem.
The problem is that the CPU usage is higher with 7 seconds interval.
I have a doubt that this problem occured windows resource leakage.
I tried to reboot this two machine a few days ago because windows was working abnormally.
Windows looks like a not enough windows resources.
I guess it might have to do something with the work the Java application is doeing. I have opened the processmonitor and I recognized lots of tasks in the registry Java was look - or what ever it is doeing.
Java allways is working at:
HKLM\ .... Services\TCPIP\Parameters\Interfaces
I have posted this long time ago but it looks like LSI did not changed anything about it.
