DH55TC - Disable onboard audio - NOT WORKING

    oliver.greg@gmail.com

With the latest bios (and the previous),

      BIOS Information
      Vendor: Intel Corp.
      Version: TCIBX10H.86A.0040.2010.1018.1100
      Release Date: 10/18/2010
      Address: 0xF0000
      Runtime Size: 64 kB
      ROM Size: 1024 kB

While disabling the onboard audio (supposedly), it is still reported to the system:

00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 5 Series/3400 Series Chipset High Definition Audio (rev 06)

This causes my pci card to not function properly as the system tries to enumerate the onboard (which is partially disabled) leaving the sound system completely unusable.
If I leave the onboard enabled, both cards work properly, but I would prefer to not have the extra card running.
Is there a way to fix this?
      Thanks!
