WiFi Link 5100 driver exe problem

when I open the ICS_Dx32.exe I see the message in a dialog box "Now performing Intel network driver installer operations" but it goes away after 3 seconds and the driver doesn't get installed. anyone have any ideas? the card is physically installed, I wish there was a driver I could point to in the device manager utility
