I am having difficulties to setup an ad hoc network with more than 2 peers. The nodes' specification is described as below:
- 1 Laptop A (Windows XP Professional Version 2002 Service Pack 2, Intel pro/wireless 3945abg driver version 10.1.0.13)
- 1 Laptop B (Windows Vista Home Premium, Service Pack 1, Intel pro/wireless 3945abg driver version 18.104.22.168)
- 1 Laptop C (Linux iwl3945 driver)
- 3 PDA with Samsung wireless adapter
Note: Fixed IP address is applied. All peers are forced to use the same bssid. All peers are forced to use the same default ad-hoc channel.
Case 1: Laptop A to B -> Success
Case 2: Laptop A to 1 PDA -> Success but the percentage of the peers getting connected is low
Case 3: Laptop B to 1 PDA -> Success but the percentage of the peers getting connected is low
Case 4: Laptop A/B to more than 1 PDA -> Fail
Case 5: Laptop C to 3 PDAs -> Success
Case 6: Laptop A/B attempt to join Case 5 peers -> Fail
Please advise if any configuration is necessary in the Windows Laptop to resolve the failed case? Is Intel Pro/Wireless 3945 windows version limited to 1-to-1 peer? Your help is highly appreciated. Thank you very much.
