Secondary monitor tearing when in cloned display

When running in a Cloned desktop setup I see tearing on the secondary monitor.

This is under both Vista and Windows 7 with Desktop composition enabled.

Chipset : Mobile Intel® GM45 Express chipset with integrated Mobile Intel® GMA 4500MHD

Driver : 8.15.10.2141

Two monitors, the Primary being the LCD Laptop display (1024x768), and the second being a 1024x768 LCD display driven via VGA. Both displays are running the same resolution, frame rate and bit depth.

I can understand that if I had two separate graphics card I may get tearing, but running off a single graphics chip I would have thought there would be a way to get the two outputs to be synced. Is there any APIs which might help, I've tried looking in the Graphics control panel but with no luck.

Any help would be much appreciated!!
