I have problems with my hardware wizard for 14.17.0.4396 ?

I was able to download the zipped file O.K. Then unzipped it alright. But then when trying to use my new hardware wizard

and on entering what I thought was the correct path the wizard came back with the message "The location you specified

does not contain any information files". Can anybody help please. I am a newbie when it comes to these sorts of problems.

Thanks in advance!

Regards.

Hi all,

I am sorry for the double post however I thought I may supply a little more info. An example of the path that I have tried would be as follows -

C:\Documents and Settings\Geoff\My Documents\Intel(R) 828665G Graphics Controller

Am I completely on the wrong track here? - I just can't figure it out - I couldn't see any .exe files. Thanks for any assistance.

Regards,

GeoffS

I think you've got a driver without setup executable. In this case you have to install the driver via the device manager.

You get there by following these instructions: http://www.laplink.com/support/kb/article.asp?ID=359 http://www.laplink.com/support/kb/article.asp?ID=359

Then open "Display Adapters" and doubleclick on your Intel graphics card. Somewhere there you find "update driver" point to the directory with your driver by using the "have disk" option.

All has been solved as I was able to get out of my problems by reading the Release Notes!

Thanks to all!
