thanx for the reply.
I've installed this Bios Upgrade:
My fans are plugged into 1, 3 and 5. I have Windows 7 64bit. My board is an S5520HC OEM version.
I attach my Intel Active System Report. Let me know.
report.html.html.zip 3.4 K
So, I spoke with Intel's Italian distributor and he said it was not able to tell me the code of fan I would change!
I now ask you if anyone has an Intel chassis SC5650.I'd need to send me the code that brings back the fan off the air. This is a 120mm fan.All other fans of my servers are the Delta (http://www.delta.com.tw/index.asp) and have these codes:AFB0912HH (92mm)AFB1212SHE (120mm) - This is the front, although equal in size to the rear is lighter weight asCan anyone help me?
Those chassis are normally fairly quite after the SDR's are loaded.
The log reports shows front panel temperature at 29 deg C which may be causing some fan ramp up.
It would be interesting to know if you find a quieter fan with the same air flow.

IPN E86491-001 120 MM x 38MM FAN 59.0 CFM (NIDEC V34809-35)

Hello Sir. Doc_SilverCree,
thanx for the reply! This is precisely the information I needed!!
Thank You very much!
Now I will try the fans more quiet, if I find something I'll let you know.
you think the temperature sensor on the front panel should be lower?
I can do something to lower it? I change the sensor? how should I act?
