Problem with ICH78ID2.* files ?

I have a Dell Optiplex GX520 tower with a CRU Dataport 10 swappable drive bay installed in it. When I try to load XP on it in from a source directory that has ICH78ID2.* files in it, the install will hang every time at the final boot-up. If I remove these files, the PC will install fine.

Does anyone know what might be causing this? Do you know a way to leave these files in the source directory and have PCs with this configuration ignore those files and continue with their installation? Any other ideas?
