I'm also facing similar problem I'm trying to install Windows server 2008 R2 x64 on s5520scr with 1 xeon E5620 processor and installationn hangs at the end.
The BIOS is updated with lateset release on 10/11/2010. I also update the NIC card drivers during the installation but still no go.
It's driving me crazy after putting my hard earned money into this product I'm left with no choice?
Please help...If anyone in Intel looks these communities please sos!
It's very easy:
Copy content of all drivers dirs to the ONE directory, only files.
during installation at the beginning point OS to use all these drivers.
I finished install right this way. Hope it can help.
Try connecting both NIC's together.
Let it complete the load, then update the Nic drivers.
Unusually the failure to complete the load is caused by Microsoft's embeded Nic driver.
the nics go into a high cpu usage mode and it takes forever to finish the load.
Rumor has it that it will finish eventually, but I have never waited long enought to find out.t. .
I have found very good workaround. Simply connect a network cable(Rj45 with cat 5 or cat 6) and let the installation complete without any problem.
