I have done a search of the website can find only today's posting about the N550. There is nothing on the processor list that shows the existence of the N550, however the news release is indicating a full fledged processor already on the shelves in some stores. Sound like stretching the truth.

Sergio,

Thanks for the info. Do you have any info on the graphics chip used in this processor? Just wondering if it is still the GMA3150?

On some cases the integrated graphics that comes with the processor are indeed the GMA3150; however, it may come with the Intel graphics GMA500, The integrated graphics on these processors usually are decided by the OEM manufacturer.

Actually i disagree with "however, it may come with the Intel graphics GMA500, The integrated graphics on these processors usually are decided by the OEM manufacturer." As far as i am aware it will come only with gma3150.

Hello,

Since the processor Intel (R) N550 seems to be from the Pineview family, it seems to be quite clear that it would be using the same GFX engine like the other Pineview family CPUs N450,D510 etc.

Besides the Pineview CPU has got different Device ID compared to the one with GMA500 which is on Poulsbo chipset.

The Pineview CPU adapts to the Gen X GFX architecture compared to GMA500 which adapts to the PowerVR. They uses a completely different driver.
