The vnc viewer plus connection console settings are the same as you mentioned. The trial version of the vnc viewer plus which is use is not a problem?
the vnc viewer plus that i using is version 1.1.0. what's your version?
i follow the AMT setting as yours,
after click connect on vnc viewer plus connection console and a windows pop up asking
'is [xxx] the expected fully-qualified domain name of [xxx]
so i click on yes
after click yes, request to enter username and password..
so the user name is it 'admin' ? where to create this username?
as for password is the password that same as for login Intel AMT in BIOS?
i enter username : admin
password : same as to login Intel AMT
still not success to get connection.
btw, both computer also using same settings that you mention ?
what's version of Intel AMT that you using?
any setting i did wrong?
AMT PC: Windows 7 x64 Professional
Manager PC: Windows Server 2008 x64 (has NO AMT mainboard)
Connectied via gigabit LAN.
You should disable the FQDN option in the VNC Viewer Plus(1.1.0). Click on options then "AMT Server" and here you can find it. Do NOT set this check box.
The user name admin is set per default and cannot be changed as far as I know. It is the same password as in the amt bios.
Do you have the "Manageability Commander Tool" installed? This is a tool to comfortably set most AMT settings from your manager pc. It is included in the Manageability_Developer_Tool_Kit_6_0_10097_2.msi kit....
ops..must disable FQDN in the VNC ..ya i know where is this option. will try it out ...hopegully working..
yes, i did installed "Manageability Commander Tool" ,with this tool i've no problem to remote other pc. only having problem when i using real vnc viewer plus v1.1.0
only need to set up 1 AMT PC and can remote control any PC even without AMT mainboard?
but if not wrong only can remote 1 PC at 1 time right.
as for manager PC any setting need to set?
your LAN connection via any switch or hub or router?
i connected via router --> switch --> PC
afraid need to do port forward..unfortunately i've no right to touch the setting on the router and switch ..
Sorry for my late answer.
The AMT system is connected by a switch.
I think you should not disable the FQDN option because of the router you are using. Do you connect by IP or Host name?
As a conclusion you are able to control the AMT pc(moving mouse etc. no only viewing) with the Manageability Commander Tool but not with vnc viewer plus?
Have you tried another vnc tool like ultra vnc?
Has anyone an idea why my controlled amt pc doesn't react on mouse movings? I'm still only viewer of the system...
btw, my mistake it's worked after disabled the FQDN.
i can control an AMT PC using mouse and keyboard.
maybe you can change other USB mouse. 1st time connected to AMT PC windows will update the KVM driver,ie keyboard, video, mouse
i can control an AMT PC to turn off/on , reset to Bios etc..
thanks for your help.
trying to connect to my DQ57TM Managibility Commander Tool but i cant connect to it - settings are the same like the post above... only difference is that i set up a manual ip-adress. When i connect to the web-interface its always saying that the password is wrong (????)... its "P&ssw0rd" so i think its ok...
